Plans for Darjeeling

On May 20th 2011 the new chief minister of  West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, took office. 56 year old Banerjee is head of  the Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) which coalates with the Congress Party. The new coalition defeated the Marxist Party that was in power for the last 34 years.
For Darjeeling Mamata Banerjee has signed an agreement witch Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) that will empower the new council for the region.
